| On the hillside behind the Chenango Valley High School used to sit SA Cabin. This is where the double track out of the old Bevier St yard turned to single track. On ST SD26 #622 the pusher set has just cleared SA Cabin as they push train JET2 up Belden Hill. Roughly 10 years later SA Cabin would be replaced by CPF-611 that sits between Phelps St and Nowlan Rd. and the track and signals here would disappear. The signal mast on the far end of the control point was still standing 2 decades later overtaken by the growth of trees. |
